These crafts are tried & true with my 8 month old! QUICK & EASY
This is my husband’s first Father’s Day, and when brainstorming how to make him feel loved & appreciated…. I was flooded with the sweetest memories from my childhood, you know, the homemade cards, breakfast in bed, foot rub tickets, and all the things that money couldn’t buy.
Simple, wholesome, but so memorable
So I wanted to recreate that for my husband and daughter!! Taking it back to the basics, making the Homemade Fathers Day Card that’s messy and totally not aesthetically pleasing…
But intentional and filled with love!!

Craft supplies links: Watercolor paper, Nontoxic washable paint, googly eyes, foam paint brush, detail paint brush, sharpie
but my biggest advice, is just use what you have at home! That’s the beauty of a homemade Fathers day card, it’s not supposed to be perfect or look exactly like mine! This is just some inspiration but I want to encourage you to get messy with your babe and make some awesome memories!
1. Daddy you are ROARSOME
We LOVED making this darling card, we did two feet with a lighter shade of green, added some teeth in a dark green, and then topped it off with a googly eye! & what a witty quote
2. FORE the best Daddy in the HOLE world
This might have been my favorite to make because it was just so clever. Perfect for the Daddy that enjoys the world of golfing! Speaking his love language!! I did the footprint in green, allowed it to dry before adding the details of the hole and flag! Super simple & quick!
3. Daddy I’m your 1# fan
This sweet craft is for any football loving dad!! We had to mix some colors to get brown, and then added the white detailing! My husband is a football fanatic, so this card was probably his favorite and the easiest one to make for sure!
4. You are my sunshine
“You are my sunshine” just melts my heart! This is the card we ended up using for my husband because he always calls our daughter, his sunshine. We painted the sun first, let it dry, added her little orange footprints, let that dry, and finished it up with our quote. Just the sweetest keepsake!
5. Daddy Little Monsters
We had an absolute blast making this sweet Homemade Fathers Day card! I don’t know about your family but we’re obsessed with Monsters, Inc. and this card was just darling! We did the initial handprint and footprint, and let it dry completely before adding the details! we opted for a darker shades of green and blue for our detailing but you could also use black or white.
6. I will always look up to YOU
This one is great if you have multiple children, they could each do a handprint and you could even do different shades of green to really stand out! Such a sweet way to showcase all the little hands in your household. We did the handprints and then added the trunk of the tree.
7. Following in my Daddy’s footsteps
I actually did this craft with my nephew who is 7 years old, and he absolutely loved this and so did his Dad! We painted the bottom of a boot with our washable non-toxic paint and then I filled in the gaps with a paintbrush. I really let him take the lead since he’s older, he was so proud and excited to give this craft to his daddy. He even wrote the sweetest note to him on the back.
